Fundraiser (Ref: CKM/10/FUN/CA)

 Responsibilites

  • Strategize, initiate and maintain fundraising plans for Christian Action;
  • Develop and maintain relationships in order to raise significant funding from existing donors and supporters;
  • Develop and approach new potential supporters, funding partners and corporations;
  • Prepare high quality funding proposals and reports;
  • Manage donors’ database;
  • Facilitate and manage appropriate fundraising events for high net worth supporters;
  • And any other duties as operationally required.

 

Requirments

  • Degree holder or above in any discipline;
  • At least 5 years of solid fundraising experience preferably in NGO;
  • With demonstrable experience with high net-worth individuals;
  • With experience of providing representation at the highest level and of developing relationships with key donors;
  • Should be a self motivated individual and a confident and persuasive communicator;
  • Strong initiative, mature and committed to work;
  • Ability to work independently and be able to lead a team;
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communications skills;
  • Fluency in written and spoken both English and Chinese, good command in Putonghua is an added advantage.

Qinghai, is one of the poorest provinces in China.  Due to its geographic location, harsh weather conditions, high altitude and poor infrastructure, the economic development is very backward, it is a difficult place to develop social programmes, so not many social service organizations can access this province.  Christian Action is committed to help those in need in Qinghai.  We have focused our efforts on child welfare and poverty alleviation since 1997.  We co-manage the first children’s home with the local government in Qinghai, with the aim to help orphans and abandoned children in the capital, Xining.  We save children on the verge of death and those robbed of the right to grow to their full potential and live happily.  In addition, we also carry out poverty alleviation projects to lift the vulnerable groups out of their adverse situation.

Due to the rapid expansion of our services in various areas in Qinghai province, we need a high caliber employee to join our China team.

Refugee Service Coordinator: Humanitarian Services

Responsibilities

  • To oversee our Social Services Department with four teams running about 12 projects in 7 centres;
  • To monitor the performance of the team managers with intensive supervision and guidance;
  • To solicit new funding and develop new projects for the development of the department;
  • To be responsible for the budget of the department and ensure its sustainability;
  • To represent the organization in the welfare sector

 

Requirements

  • RSW with master degree in Social Work;
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in social welfare sector, with proven track record in project management, funding applications, new projects setup and staff supervision;
  • Experienced in collaborating with different parties including government bureaux and departments, funding bodies, NGOs, community and ethnic minority groups, etc.;
  • Budget sensitive with experience in managing non-subvented services;
